French Cookies

1 pound butter or margarine melted

2-1/4 cups granulated sugar

3-3/4 cups all purpose flour

8 eggs

1 tbsp. Pure vanilla

Beat the eggs.

Add sugar and vanilla.

Add flour and melted butter alternately.

Chill 3 hours or overnight!

Here is where the fun begins!! On preheated waffle maker, drop a teaspoon measure of the cookie dough and ‘bake’ for approximately 2 minutes. Lift the lid to check for light golden brown doneness. Using a fork, remove the cookies from off the waffle iron and place onto waxed paper. With a shaker or sifter, sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar. Yummy!!
